Ok I got this car a week ago when I got it it had a crack in the radiator so I put jb weld on it jst to get it home it never over heated but the vaccum advance is broke off an I took off the valve cover an it had a lil water in but none in the oil since I had it home I changed the oil n filter an the radiator but it won't start it'll turn over but not start I checked to see if it had spark an fuel that was good but I can't find out what's wrong with it

 

Maby I left out some stuff it has a carb an it's auto

 

carbs are the devil, there is too much involved to guess over the net. you really need to find a tech that knows them.

 

O there's nothing wrong with it I jst posted that to help better find out the problem

Carb would have implied DX or LX.

Anyway. Are you sure on the spark and fuel. Good blue spark using a tester. Fuel can be verifed a few ways (Sight glass-driver side, panel is real easy to get to and then check at the pump and also at the carb, starting fluid). Yea the carbs on these are not fun but can be managed.

You know it ran before the work, double check everything. Grounds, battery, ect....don't give up yet.

Yes I like the 3rd gen's, I'd buy another one tomorrow-even thought I don't need it-if the price was right.....heck I've owned an 86 DX 5 spd so I think I've covered everything they had to offer in that gen. One of the kids is going off to OCS, USMC, this summer and I'm going to stop driving the 95 and get into the 89 LXi coupe. It's a 5 spd and gets about 5 mpg's more than the 95.

EDIT: I take that back, I've never had a 2 dr Hatch.
