I got code p1457 which is evap canister leak, and lately my car has felt alil sluggish and breaking up in power wise through the rpms till it hits vtec. it used to be a nice smooth building powerband till vtec.

Number One cause: Bad gas cap, unless you tugged off one of the EVAP Canister lines or damaged it.
Don't beat on your motor when Check Engine Light is on. Just makes a little problem a whole lot bigger.
