coating the inside of the manifold
Has anyone done this? I talked to Jet Hot earlier today and they said they do it a lot, however you have to sign a waiver releasing them of being responsible for the turbo. Reason being if trash not related to their coating messed up your turbo you can't say it was their coating. He said there has never been a problem that he knows of. That being said inlinepro thinks its a bad idea but Jet Hot says it makes a big difference. Anyone have this done?
i know it's done in some all out race cars and HAS to be done on a new manifold. it's a heat barrier and makes sense, i just have never seen it done outside hardcore track racing.
its better to coat the inside of the exhaust ports...to keep the heat in heat=power...the aluminum head disipitates more heat than the ss exhaust manifold..
