I don't see too many people with it done at all. What are your guys opinions on it? I've only heard good things, any cons to doing it? (besides looks)

A lot can be done with ceramic coating... combustion chamber, piston domes, exhaust manifolds, etc. I assume you're talking about exhaust manifold?

It actually is a bit of both. It's a high temp compound coating that is sprayed onto the piece that you want to protect w/ dissipating head, and rust prevention. If you decide to coat your manifold, make sure you do it BEFORE you even mount the manifold and allow any heat to change the manifold.
you can also sand a compressor cover down to the metal, and ceramic coat it, giving it a nice shine. No rubbing, no buffing ;-)
Coating a manifold that has already been heat rusted is hard to coat..
Great stuff. I've got it all over my exhaust, manifolds and housings

what about engine bay temperature with a coated header?? does the ceramic coating keep the heat inside the header?? if so how hot is the header?? can you touch it when engine is on??

Re: (JSMC)
well, my mani is still hot, and i would never touch it! but i have noticed a lot less heat in the engine bay! i use to open the hood and feel the heat on my face like i was looking into the oven, now it is much more tolerable! i give the coatings a ! i have not tried pistons or anything like that yet however i have been thinking about it for misslady's setup!

Is it possible to coat manifold that were already used?
