95 civic DX "distributor out of room for adjustment"
I changed a head gasket in this car and can't seem to get the ignition timing correct.
Judging from the marks on either side of the cam gear, that line up almost perfectly with the top of the head while the bottom end is at perfect TDC, i feel like mechanical timing is not an issue.
The distributor is currently pulled away from the firewall as far as it can go. I still need to retard the timing just a bit more.
Maybe i need to move the cam gear a tooth one way or the other??? not sure
Any help is greatly appreciated...thanks in advance

i definitely jumped the service connector, i'm gonna have to agree that i should adjust the mechanical timing to solve the problem.
