Ignitor/Coil tested?
I finally have a free day to get around to it, both autozones near me as well as the kragen nearby all say they cannot test either at their locations. The guy at kragen said no location owned by their business will/can. I find that to usually be bullshit but there aren't another kragen around for a good distance. Anyone know a surefire place that does?
I've already tested it myself with some site that gets posted for any troubleshooting. Ignitor failed when I tested it but I want to make sure I did it right and have it done by someone. I was told that autozone does it but they seem like ****ing idiots. They didn't even know what the **** the ignitor was when I asked if they tested them.

Autozone does have the equipment to test it. I have done multiple ignition module tests (I work at autozone). But yes, the majority of the people that work at autozone are dumbasses. The equipment is usually right under the starter/alternator testing machine. They need to pull out the little book that comes with the machine and look up the part number to see which wires they connect. (I think it part no. was JA179)
If you are trying to test the coil you will need a multimeter. Set it on ohms (the horseshoe) and place the probes on the positive and negative terminals on the coil. I think the max was 3 ohms.
Then you place the negative probe on the secondary of the coil (where the spring is) and the other positive probe on the positive bolt on the ignition coil. I can't exactly remember the max, it was like 15K but once again, it will show on the dumbass autozoner's screen. They just have to look up the coil and click the picture. It will show the specs right on the computer.
