J&S dip switches/install...
This is my diagram for the Ultra Safeguard. Classic Safeguard is the same except that it doesn't have a VTEC wire. The yellow wire on the Classic Safeguard goes to the TPS signal (tap into the signal...don't cut the wire).

Switch 1 -> 10/20 deg of max retard (10 deg is down)
Switch 2 -> Retard All/Retard individual (start out with retard all - switch up)
Switch 3/4 -> Both should be up (instructions don't say why)

I heard there were problems when the J&S installed with the Hondata. How do you fix it?
Also, I have a 99 Civic Si, can I tap into the stock knock sensor signal?

It kills the tach with and OBD1 ECU installed in an OBD2 car via an adapter harness. To fix it, you need a 1k ohm 1/4 watt resistor between the ICM and power wires on the J&S harness (red + green). Just install the resistor on the plug. Works like a charm.

Ok I put the J&S in. I haven't driven the car but it starts so I guess it's fine. The little red light blinks as the motor runs... seems to be in sync with output to the ICM ?

Yep that's the wideband controller. I guess the thing is working. What should I start with for the sensitivity setting? I have it set about 10 o'clock...
