00 stolen gsr, ECU/Immobilizer question
Once again I need help from fellow honda-tech members...
Here is my situation, I bought a stolen recovery 2000 gsr with 38k original miles
The ignition was busted, front seats were taken and the rear 1/4 was kicked in...
Since I had the car, I replaced all the broken fuses, cleaned up all the grounds and bought a new Walbro FP since the old one has been sitting in the tank for a few years...
This is the last attempt I am going to try and make before I let a dealership fix the problem...
*****I recently bought a complete manual for the integra and has every single wire, color of the wire, etc, etc etc....This is the problem..When I turn the ignition with a screwdriver with the original gsr ecu, the FP turns on like it should and the green immobilizer key flashes on the dash board...I know the car wont start with the immobilizer key flashing. I then unpinned 3 wires that are all related to the immobilizer system. I again, turned the car to the "on" position and the FP would prime and as I crank the car no gas.....car wont start (hence the purpose of the immobilizer). I am also getting zero power the gas gauge? I checked the wires off the fuel pump but everything looks as it should..Does anyone know which wire is directly for the gas gauge?
I then have a 1999 Honda Civic SI ECU Non-Immobilizer...When I install the ECU and turn the car to the prime position, the Fuel pump does not turn on...however, when I use my test light and put direct ground to the main relay the fuel pump will stay home however long I leave the test light on for...with myself MANUALLY putting a ground to the main relay the car will start with the Civic SI ECU....
This is my question, why am I getting no power to the fuel pump with the civic ecu? Can it just be a bad chip/bad ecu?
Secondly, I do have the original key that came with the car...should I just tow the car to the dealership and have them flash the new key and install the new ignition? Do you think will solve the problem?
