The best way to fix it is to cut it out.

Well you need to get it repainted after it is welded in too, which is considerably more expensive than the welding itself.

im not really worried about the cost of the paint i know, its gonna cost, im worried more on finding someone who can cut the panels out and weld em back in , i've talked to a couple shops and they want like 6-10 grand, which i think is complete BS. if any one knows of any where i can take and have it done near frankfort ky that would be a big help im not wanting to spend more then 3 grand on the body work.

@ JDMMODO thanks i gotta feeling im gonna need all the luck i can get.

I did a simpler>kind of a temp fix although its been 2 years and ive had no issues...

How large is the rust area? Mine was only the size of about 2 quarters at the rear passenger side wheel well right before it hits the bumper. I cut the rusted area out with a dremel and sanded it smooth down to the metal in there area..I used bondo to fill the hole and sanded it smooth. Had o-reilly's order the paint for my car in the form of a spray paint can and painted the area. After wards i waxed/buffed the area real good and you wouldnt even be able to tell unless i pointed it out to you....

Its been 2 years and i havnt had a single spec of rust in that area come back. Mine was only rusted through the first layer of metal, the backing underneath that was still intact so it made filling the area really easy even for a noob.
