Default Rust - Del Sol - Need advice

So I've got my del sol, and my paint is starting to chip, and rust is starting to show thru on hood / bumper / quarter panels / trunk

Also have some rust on my front clip and probably else where if I took a closer look.

My question is, should I bother sanding / primering, and replacing with new metal in the spring?

Or just try and sell it off ASAP and get another one?

Think so?

I've gotton a few quotes on just some basic body work and they were pretty crazy, I can only imagine what it would cost to sand / primer then replace everything.

Anyone ever done this? Have any idea of what to expect price wise?

Yeah, I've been browsing in that forum, and searchin'

Most topics I found were giant flame fests.

Also noticed that forum doesn't get as much traffic as this one, and since its kind of a technical question concerning my del sol, I felt this forum mildly appropriate.

But thanks for the reply

I have some rust starting to settle as well, been all over the columbus area
(noticed you live pretty close to me)

I've gotton' quotes all across the board, PM me if you'd like and I'll share with you some prices / places I've been to.

But after getting these quotes, I think I'm just going to touch her up a bit and find a better plat forum, RUST I've been told, is a pain the the ***, and the bank account, easier to just find something thats in prime condition.

And I guarentee you that you will probably be paying close to what you paid for the car to get this work done - I nearly **** myself after my first day out looking.

But yeah PM me for info

easy way to remove rust is this coated sponge thing you attach to your drill and it is made to remove paint and rust, works great. forgot what its called but it says paint and rust remover on it and im pretty sure you can get it at your local hardware store.
used it on my car, my moms trailor to remove rust and paint, works great and doesnt cause any damage. takes paint of like nothing too...
