got a 94 stickshift gsr with a transmission problem i believe. When im driving in 1st or 2nd gear and let go of the gas, my car makes a drag noise. In 3rd, 4th and 5th gear isn't so bad,. It only happens when i let go of the gas pedal while driving. It doesn't do it in neutral, only in gears. Normally in any manual cars, when you let go of the gas while driving, it rolls freely and smoothly then slows down, but in my car, it makes a raspy sound like something is being dragged, im guessing its a bearing or flywheel? No pops or grinds. Let me know what you guys think

If its got alot of miles,change the bearings inside the transmission.

 

My car does the same thing, It's been doing it for a while actually and I can never pinpoint where the sound is coming from. At first I thought it was the motor mounts and I changed them but it still makes the noise. Let me know what you find.

 

Change the fluid and see what happens after that

yeah I've changed the fluids twice and it still makes the sound. Also my third gear is pretty messed up, i have to wait a few seconds before shifting from 2nd to 3rd or else it'll grind. I don't know much about fixing transmissions, do you guys have an estimate on how much it will cost to change the synchros and input shaft bearing at a mechanic?
