Just got my car running again i did a 89 si swap to a 88 std civic. Changed all the harnesses in the car. Now i let it run for a minute and my Cel comes on. The car is obd1 so I pull the code. One long blink and then six fast blinks. So has anyone ever had this code? Is there a way to test the fuel injectors to see if they are working right? They are 650cc precsion and they are brand new. Any help would be greatly appericated. Heres my thread.

did you convert the whole car to obd1? what ecu are you running?

 

I used 1989 civic Si harnesses all of them. So the wiring is 1989 civic Si. I used a obd0 to obd1 ecu jumper harness, distributor jumper harnesses, obd1 Dizzy, 4 wire o2 and the ecu is a p06 chipped for vtec and turbo. The injectors are 650cc precision. Any ideas??? I already checked ohms. They are all the same. The plugs on the harness are getting power check it to.

If i'm not mistaken those are saturated injectors so did you delete the resistor box? Also, is the ecu tuned for the larger injectors?

 

I thought I got high independance ones. Ill have to double check that today. But right now.I got the resistor box hooked up.

 

Well im got 680cc low indenpance I looked up the ohms spec 2 ohms that what all my injectors have.

Finally figured it out. After all the frustration. I called up rywire told them my situation and they told me i need to check all wires all the way back to the ecu. So i did, turns out the jumper harness one of the injector wires broke the solder connection. I resolder it together and no more cel code 16. I started getting a cel code 8 too. Same thing wire broke on jumper harness so i had to resolder it together. Im going to buy a rywire jumper harness when i get the money. They one i have now is a Zerg Industries and i got it from Street lightz in Cali. It was a good price but now that i see the quality of them i want something bettter.
