I was wondering if anyone can help me. my civic just recently started turning off when i come to a stop and step on the gas. It also as trouble starting somtimes. But the weird thing is that it runs good somtimes and suddenly it will start with the problems. I checked my fuel pressure and it was 35 psi and with the vacum hose out it was 45 psi so i believe my pump is good and the pressure was holding when car was turned off. Would anyone have an idea what can it be.

 

Check your plug wires, they could be arcing out when the motor torques.

 

...also cap, rotor and ignition timing.

Any CEL codes?

 

well my spark plug wire are ok tested those, distrubitor was just replced and timing is on point. I think it might be my IACV there is a buzzing sound coming out of it, what you guys think would this cause the car to turn off and trouble strating..

 

What happens if you unplug the IACV? Does the buzzing go away? Does the engine start? I wouldn't think so, but it's worth a try.
