TDC marks on CRNK and Flyweel dont go together!!?
I am reinstalling my cylinder head on my h23a1 engine, I was trying to set up the bottom part of my engine to put my cylinder head on so I go to put it on TDC using the white mark on the flyweel that you can see through the peep hole thats right next to the starter! I put it on that and the pistons are were about 2inches from the top of the engine block, so I look for the mark on the balancer driver pulley and line that up with a circle on the block that brings the pistons up anther inch but they are still an inch from the top of the engine?!! and of course now the white mark on the flyweel is off...so my question is how do I know which one of these is the right one?
any help appreciated,
thanks

sorry I am alittle clueless with gears, is this the gear behind the balancer belt pulley that the timing belt goes on?

Yeah someone probably didn't pay attention to the timing marks when they installed the flywheel. Crank pulley only goes on one way, so it should always read correct
