By going rhd does it increase any value to the car?
i have a 95 del sol vtec model and im converting it rhd. but now i want a s2k and i was wondering after i finish it how much can i bump up the price?
imo it does nothing for the book value kinda takes away from it, but it may increase the street value depending on the market your selling it in
If someone actually wants a RHD Del Sol then they're probably willing to pay more for it, although it still most likely wont offset the cost of doing the conversion in the first place, and if you can't find someone that wants a RHD Del Sol then good luck selling it.
or you could take the KBB or anyother book you like take that price and subtract 95% of the value and try and sell it you might get a bite then
if anything, i would say it would DECREASE your value.
nobody wants to buy a modded car nowadays.. and if they want RHD, they will get an authentic one straight from japan

worth NOTHING after MOST rhd conversions...get pulled over byt highway patrol (ca for me idk about other states) and you get sent to the state ref. and most time they will ban the car to offroad use only and will never be able to be registered again...these are stories i've heard and in ca so i may be wrong but i ca neasily see how there true
To me its a pointless modification because it does virtually nothing to enhance the car. And selling it will always be tough because unless it was done with really high quality most people wont like buying someone elses work.
well i have a true RHD, someone offered me 12,000 for my 93 civic hatch(i have the emails to prove it). Conversions are a different story. I never get pulled and where im from there are a lot of traffic stops. Cops love it, they are always like "this things cool man, where'd you get it" So RHD only worth it if they are true. that "Gray Market" is BS at least where im from. Mine is registered and insured in my state. No problems at all. Still have original 10 digit VIN. BS!
RHD was 1998 status. Try passing somebody on a county road (1 lane each direction) in a RHD car. Not fun.
The ONLY upside I would see in doing a RHD conversion is that once you park the car you can leave your driver side door wide open without fear of someone hitting you driving by

its back to the old "JDM wants USDM, USDM wants JDM". personally i think it would be sweet to have a RHD import whether its honda, nissan, whatever. but just because its different. like previously said, it would be hard to have it as a dd
