Default h22 oil light?

l just did a h22 swap few weeks ago. l just replaced driver side axle then later on when l went driving oil light kept coming on when l pressed clutch in and let off gas. and will cut off when l shift to 5th or come to stop. thinking its oil sending unit wire and a safety cutting car off. opinions? help?

To check oil pressure you remove the sending unit and install a pressure guage in it's place. Compare the readings to the manufacturers specification. If oil pressure is good the problem is likely electrical or with the sending unit itself.

A simple way to check for an electrical problem is to remove the connector and ground it. The oil light should go out. Test drive the car and see if the oil light stays out. If it does the problem is likely to be the sending unit or the oil pressure. If the light continues to come on with the connector grounded the problem is likely in the wiring.

Does the car die as soon as the shifter is moved to 5th gear? Or, when you release the clutch? Does the car die any other time? When the car dies, do all the lights on the guage cluster come on?

All lights on gauges come on n dies when I let out clutch never happened before this problem. And died a few times at stop but hasnt really done it since. If I give it gas n shift very quickly it will go into 5th

Check your grounds, I know it may sound dumb but a poor ground can make a honda do some goofy **** lol, I would after checking the oil pressure, changing the pressure unit, and checking the grounds, check the pick up screen.

Hope you get your car squared away man! Good luck

ok well l replaced oil pressure switch and light still comes on. l have a new oil pump and oil level is correct. l took oil cap off right after driving and oil is reaching top of engine. l havent put a oil gauge on but if l had oil pressure drop l should notice a difference when driving and it drives the same as before it came on. what in the world could this be?

You keep bumping, posting question marks but never said if you performed an electrical diagnostic of the circuit.

It could be excessive bearing clearance(too big), clogged oil pick-up screen, worn oil pump(but you said it's new), and low oil level which you said is full.
