Re: oil pressure indicator (bbhockey19)
Dont know about Hondas but see my sig. I had a perfect condition Isuzu Rodeo flicker the oil light. Checked the oil 3 times and it read full. Broke down 5 minutes later in Podunk, Oklahoma. Car had ZERO oil in it. It happened another time too prior to the engine locking up. Checked oil immediately. Read full. Wife took it to get an oil change the next day and the tech said it had less than 1/2 quart of oil left .
Not to be a dick but why are you asking on honda tech? If the oil light comes on or just flickers, am I the only person who pulls over IMMEDIATELY and checks the oil?

if its a oil problem you better get it fix asap or its gonna do major damage..........
the light flickering means that there is either a short in the wire or there is not enough oil but when this happen to light just stays on instead of flickering and the other thing is the pick-up tube screen thingy might be clogged with some kind of debris drop your oil pan and check the pick-up tube and clean it put new oil and see what happen

Re: (no_rice_please)
If you see the light on, you're damaging your motor (assuming it's not just a loose wire). That light comes on around 5 psi. It means one thing "STOP DRIVING NOW". You do that, you might save your motor. Another guy reported something like this a couple weeks ago, he's walking these days, toasted his motor.
