No Sign of Wear on New Rotor
I recently had new front rotors fitted on a 94 Accord, along with a new driver's side wheel bearing. The pads were in very good shape so were re-used. The brakes seem to work fine, just as effective as before with no pulling to one side.
The odd thing is that on the passenger side, the rotor shows the normal circular wear pattern but on the driver's side, the original cross-hatching is still present as if the pad is barely touching. The new rotors now have about 100 miles on them.
I took the car back for a check and the mechanic thought they just needed more miles to bed in. He test drove it and verified the brakes were being applied to both sides with the car on the lift.
I also verified that the caliper is not stuck. It slides freely and I was able to push the piston back into the caliper.
Has anyone seen this happen before? Any ideas what might be causing it?
Thanks for any help.

The rotors were probably not replaced as a match set, one probably had been crosshatched with a different cutter, and the other was probably not crosshatched or was otherwise different.
Happens all the time, it takes about 5000 miles for most crosshatches to dissappear entirely.
