Default Is this integra worth it?

I am looking on a 96 4door Integra LS with 101k miles. It was crashed in 2007, and had 97k miles. The guy I am getting it from say that he fixed it up, and seem to be decent enough, and decent condition. It is re-painted and everything else seem decent. It drove fine in the test drive. Felt like it shifts fine too.

It has the following check engine light codes. I am unable to find much information about them.

P1792
P0118
P0700

I am getting it for $2.5k. Should I walk away? I am also looking on a 98 4door Civic LX with 105k miles for $3k. Everything is good with the civic, except, it came from FL and so has sun burnt paint, and decently badly need a paint job. This is a car for my sister, with a budget of $3k, it is pushing it, and she wanted it to look pretty. I want reliability more. Both have clean carfax. Should I go with the teg or the civic?

not worth it. For the price of anj ls you can find a gsr. igorka_91 here purchaced a 97 gsr with 115k for $2550. I got my 95 si with 95 gsr swap....clean for 3500. That was cheap 5.5 years ago.

I missed 2 gsr's on CL in cali. 99 gsr with 200k, second owner, older dude, never modded, had no spark for $999. 1996 gsr, clean title, was smoking a bit and needed some motor work, $1200.

Just look around. Take in consideration the $$ and time you'll put into that car to fix the CEL.

Could those codes come up out of replacing the front end with the radiator components?

The car racked up a total of 4K miles in 4 years? It probably sat out somewhere for a long@$$ time, plus with those trouble codes, I wouldn't touch it.

Agreed. I have fixed many integras myself and had them be fine, but for whatever reason any that I have looked at that were suppposedly done "right" by other people were junk. So many people leave the little things out that make all the difference in my opinion. I would say stay away.

Unless you live somewhere where car prices are higher than normal (such as WA) that seems very expensive for a salvaged car with a bunch of CELs. 4k miles in 4 years also doesn't seem right...

WTF bro that **** was 12 years ago. My teenage kid was 1 year old then!

Also, I'd like to see how you consider "automatic transmission fault" to be a cheap and easy fix.
