Hi, I was wondering if anybody on this forum would be able to help diagnose this low rpm rattle I'm experiencing. It sounds like a metal on metal noise, more audible when the engine is cold. On idle the noise is not there though with partial throttle the rattle begins at 1500rpm and then disappears over 3000rpm. It's not noticeable in the car only from the engine bay. Sounds like it's coming from the rocker cover area, slightly noisier to the rear of the engine.

The car runs fine on the track, just set my best lap round Donington so it's not slowing down!

Any opinions would be welcomed. For information the exhaust is aftermarket so there are no heatshields.
