Default turbo questions

I just recently bought my friends 93 prelude si. I've got alot of plans for this car, but I do have a few questions. First let me start with my desired setup. The car does have the h23, so that will be the first thing torn out. I will be doing the h22 full swap (engine, lsd trans, and ecu) , but before I swap, I will be rebuilding the h22. I know I need to resleeve. I was thinking about using the mahle gold series pistons, but I really don't know if I want to take the chance. I was looking at the rev hard stage II and III turbo kits. Are these kits good or should I just piece together the parts myself? My goal is 400-500 hp so I'm leaning towards piecing my own setup together. Im thinking gt35r turbo, tial wastegate, spearco fmic. What other parts do I need? turbo manifold would you suggest? I'd like to keep my ac if possible. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You dont want a Rev hard kit. My first turbo build was with one and I wasn't very happy with it...... The damn exhaust manifold had holes in it when I got it. I had a GE manifold which caused the intercooler piping to not fit, etc, etc.

Piece everything together yourself

Part the turbo kit together, I would sleeve the block, I have heard ALOT of storys of the FRM (what ever its called) just failing above like 300 and the pistons that work with stock sleeves are hit or miss.

I think I will be piecing it together myself. Im trying to find a good "ram horn" manifold and looking up the prices for all other necessary parts. (boost controller, bov, hondata s300, oil lines, ect)

Thats probably good 9:1 is what most people use on their setups where are you thinking about having it tuned at once you build it. It doesn't matter what kind of crazy **** you do to your engine, it woln't matter if it's not tuned.

I live in northwest indiana, about 45 minutes from Chicago and there is a place I've heard is very good called AMS. They're known for their crazy evo builds. I think I'm going to take it there.
