I have a 89 y49 crx. The problem is that sometimes when you go to start it, the relays will click, fuel pump primes, but when you turn the key to start the starter doesn't turn. Most times it starts just fine. Problem is intermittent.

Another note, when I bought the car it did have a push button start inside the car. They took the stock starter signal wire off and wired the push button to it.

Any help would be appreciated.

 

Check that all the wires on the starter are properly connected.. Just went through this and turns out one of the wires was frayed and not making a connection every time.
