no headlights or high beams
my daughter has a 1992 Honda Accord. Headlights and high beams don't come on. The marker and tail lights do come on. I checked the 20A headlight fuses under the hood and they both look good. I pulled one of the bulbs and it looks good.
any ideas? Thank you.

when you pull back on the stick to flash, can you hear the relay click on/off? thats the next thing to check
try to have it quiet when you do it, its like a blinker click but quieter
they are those bigger little bricks around where some of the fuses are at, hondas have most everything labelled well so it shouldnt be that hard

no relay clicking noise from in car or under hood, only the click the switch makes when you pull the highbeam on.
the two big blocks on the fuse panel are labeled:
lighting relay
dimmer relay
probably try to replace one or both of these?
thanks.

This seems a Honda thing for around that age, I have replaced 3 of these relays in my 95, AA say they have been called out to a few Honda Accords when the relay went while i was driving the first time it happend and had to stop for obs reasons, found out then you can swap them over to see if you can get them working as they are exactly the same, When i lights won't turn on i normally swap the relay and have to buy another one ect. if it's the main beams just use the dimmer relay and you can get going. But replace the dimmer as you cannot flash anyone i found out ¬.¬
Unless someone wants to expand on the possible reasons it would keep failing after 6-9-12 months and have a new one?

I pulled the "dimmer relay" and it has an extra prong so can't switch it over to the "lighting relay" plug. Is it the "lighting relay" the one you have been replacing?
thanks.
thanks.

1. you can test the relays easily with a 9V battery, just apply power to the switching circuit and you should hear/feel the little switch throw
second option: if you have a multimeter and wiring diagram so you know where to probe...pull the relay out and see that the low side is getting power to flip the relay, or even if it has contiuity(completing a circuit)
last ditch would be to replace the stick-thats probably a huge bitch-and expensive-relays are cheaper
