ej6 with a b18c1, a few questions
i recently bought a 98 civic, with a d16y8 in it. im swapping in a 95 b18c1, which is obd1, however the car is obd2. i plan to use the original harness from the civic but im not sure what im going to need to comeplete this swap. i planned to run a chipped p28 and a jumper harness to make the car obd1.
will an obd2 alternator work from say a ls b18?
will i need a gsr distributor or will a ls b18 distributor work?
also, i need to find a trans, are the spindles the same from a grs and ls?
thanks for any help, if anyone has done this swap please let me know id love any extra advice.

You will need a OBD2a distributor 96-99 from a GSR. Any B-Series OBD2 alternator should work on a B series but I'm not sure. Transmission, any B-series hydraulic transmission would work. Since your GSR swap is OBD1 chances you need to change injectors too. I believe they have injector conversion clips though.
1. Injectors - either reuse the Y8 injectors on the b18c or do this to the plugs to make the B18C's fit

2. Alternator - You'll need an OBD2 bseries alternator for plug and play or if your engine has an alternator with it swap over the voltage regulator

3. Wire up VTEC and IAB's (you can leave the knock unwired because the P28 won't look for it)

4. You will need to use a round style plug intake air temp sensor plug to plug into the GSR manifold as the civics is square
(picture is show to show style of sensor not location, the location is in the B18C's intake manifold)

OR
Install the Civics IAT into whatever intake arm you use

5. Additional wiring: Ignore the left over plug by the crank pulley as the CKF won't be used on OBD1. Also the secondary O2 will not need to be hooked up as the OBD1 ECU won't use it. The primary O2 however will need to be extended to meet the GSR's location.

wow thats a lot of info, thank bys. if i had the harness from the engine i could probably peice that together with my civic harness to make everything work?
