Default b18c1 into 92 teg ls

alright...i have a 92 ls and a 97gsr motor in my garage...
im getting things together for the swap and i wanna make sure i have everything
theres just a few things im not too sure about

the motor is a obd2 motor
i have a chipped p28ecu
skunk2 manifold
obd1 b16 throttle body
obd1 gsr distributor
and i think some other stuff i cant think of right now

im gonna be using my stock wiring harness but was wondering if the harness is gonna work with all the sensors and what not on the motor
do i have to change alternators?
is there anything that im missing or just any advice on the swap?

also im lookin for a 92-93 ls tranny...anyone got one for sale?

1. stick with your OBD1 P28 ecu for sure.
2. OBD1 GSR distributor ... good.
3. You'll either want to get a set of OBD1 b-series injectors or cut & splice the OBD2 injector plugs onto your LS harness, to utilize the existing OBD2/GSR injectors. you choose.
4. You can reuse the GSR TB if you'd like to, it should work.
5. You can use the OBD2 alternator if you cut and splice, or use the Alternator off your OBD1/LS engine....actually, you should just do that (use LS alt.).
6. Your engine harness will work with all of the OBD2/GSR sensors, although there may be a few OBD2-only sensors you'll leave dormant/unplugged.
7. You'll have to wire your car up vtec, of course.

...that should be it

hey im doin almost the same thing...i have a 1994 integra RS and i just got a 99 gsr b18c engine...as for the swap goes..im gonna use a obd1 p72 ecu..i didnt know that i needed a obd1 distributor?? but hey...

so basically to do put a obd2 gsr motor in a non vtec obd1 car u need:
1) obd1 gsr ecu
2) obd1 gsr injectors
3) obd1 alternator
4) obd1 distributor

anything else???

also can obd1 ecu plug directly the stock location?? or do u need some sort of wiring harness??

ok your setup is a little different, since you own a 94 Integra.
I'm NOT 100% sure if a 92-93 DA/integra can use an OBD2 integra engine harness, unlike 94-95 DC/integra's ... I don't see why not though.

but...

You can use any 96-00 OBD2 Integra engine harness (I suggest ITR or GSR since vtec is already embedded in these 2 harnesses), and utilize all of the OBD2 ignition parts, injectors, and alternator. It will plug n play, minus a few unused OBD2 plugs you wont be using. You won't have to use any OBD1 engine components at all if you use an OBD2 engine harness...but ... stick with the OBD1 ecu. You'll save $$$ since you dont have get any OBD1 igntion components, injectors, and alternator, an anything else.

..as for your ecu question, if you stick with an OBD1 type ecu, it will plug n' play into your car no problem.....you'll still have to wire up the VTEC components and the knock sensor.

alright cool...
i actually have obd1 gsr injectors and i have the b16 throttle body(thought it would be easier with the map sensor and throttle cable with the skunk mani)
i'll probably slice the alternator or get a new one cuz i actually think the one in my ls is going(crazy dimming lights...or maybe its a ground wire or something)
and ofcourse the vtec...just gotta figure out what pins they are on the ecu but i'll get to that when the time comes...
and the harness will plug up with most stuff...thats good to hear...thought i was gonna have to spend a bunch of money on new sensors and stuff

thanks alot
