Hi, I am new to the site and have a question.

I drive a 93 del sol (b16a3) and my boyfriend drives a 91 integra (b20b), which is faster? I am afraid to race him, but he talks so much hype and well crap. I just want some opinions on the matter before I smoke him.

assuming that both cars are equally modded (if modded at all), and both of you have similar driving skills, you should be able to beat him. The b20 has more low end torque due to larger displacement, but they don't have much steam up top due to the design of the head and lack of v-tec.

now if it's a b20-vtec, than that's a whole different story...

 

b16 tranny should be much better geared in your favor

 

Your Del-Sol will have a higher advantage on the high end well like 40-60mph rolls. Your tranny will aid the high end since it's really close ratio. But, the B20 from the dig if hes good at launching will most likely pull on you. The weight of the Del-Sol compared to the Integra is similar around to 50-100 pounds difference I think. Also, depends on your tire setup too.

 

My b16a2 with GSR tranny barely held to my buddys b20 (both 93 hatches) until about 100 mph when the b20 lost its pull. The b16 still pulls hard in the top end.

 

Depends on the mods, tune and driver skill.

My 93 hatch with a B20B, LS trans, 2.5 exhaust, ITR 4-1 header went 14.7 @92 on 13inch factory wheels. Just for reference.
