Default Those who installed AEM CAI..

Do you remember if the rubber grommet (that supports the AEM near the headlight) was a screw in?
I'm taking out my AEM, and for the life of me I can't seem to get that rubber support out! I tried pulling, prying, and twisting with no luck.
Thanks!

A 10mm bolt holds it on. Take that off and it should all come out.

the grommet just slides on the bolt then the whole thing screws to the car

It's just a matter of unscrewing, but on my GSR... man, that 10mm bolt was a bitch to deal with... for some cheap reason, I guess the thread on it got bad or something, but that thing was a pain to take off.... so I just cut the top off that screw... problem solved...

Unscrew it. I think that bolt has plastic threads and is meant to be difficult to take off.

The vibramount gets screwed into the stock bolt hole, and then you place the support from the AEM intake on it, and put a 10mm bolt on it.

Remove the 10mm bolt, and then just unscrew the vibramount. GL.

Yeah I finally got it off! If only I "unscrewed" it a little more earlier... it just popped right off!
And yeah, I did replace it.
