Default Gas leak causing to evaporate?

i think i may have a hole somewhere in the pipe that leads to the gas tank. i was filling up my car one day and the guy behind me was like "Yo, your spilling gas" there was gas all over the ground but none on the side of my car so i was like i couldnt have overflowed it because it wasnt wet at all. and i looked under my car and it was dripping. could that be causing my horrible gas milage? when i drive my car the gas doesnt change but once i turn the car off and go back to my car a little while later the cars dropped like a quarter tank. also i smell gas when i turn on my vents i smell gas too

help me out guys this horrible gas milage is killing my pockets

You may have a hole in your tank! You better check the fill pipe and the tank for a hole. Fill it up with as much fuel as you can get in it and start checking all around the tank and fill line, your bound to find a leak if your loosing that much fuel at one time.

try and get the tank as empty as you can and use a smoke tester to find the leak
