Default rough idle after new intake manifold. overheating.

hey guys ive got a 1994 honda civic with a GSR swap

Today i swapped out the GSR intake manifold for the edelbrock victor x (planning on boost in the future, got a good deal) and when i started the car its idling funny, and overheating. I know the thermostat is good, because the car never had issues before. Could this be due to excessive amounts of air in the coolant system?

Im open to any ideas. Im not positive i have the wires right, i may have the TPS and MAP sensor connectors backwards, and there is also one spare connector, i dont know exactly where it went (should have marked all of this i realize now, im a novice)

did you use a new intake manifold gasket? if so, did you clean EVERY bit of the old paper gasket off the cylinder head, and then wetsand it smooth?

is the IACV hooked up? or even installed? that may be your extra plug you have laying around.

IACV is hooked up, and thats a bit smaller plug. No didnt wetsand thatd make the difference on the idle?

What about the overheating all of a sudden? Im fairly sure i have the coolant lines ran correctly. I even cleaned the IACV before putting it back on the edelbrockintake mani. I could take pictures tomorrow if need be.

you dont need to wetsand, i do tho so that there is a good mating surface. if there is any little pin hole that isn't sealed you will have a vacuum leak and it will idle like ****, and if it doesn't seal between the number 4 runner and the coolant passage, it will leak coolant into the motor.

the only other plug i could think of is for the stock GSR butterfly valves. idk if they are electronical or mechanical tho. never owned one.

on the manifold, you DID use a new gasket didn't you? on the manifold, IACV and throttle body?

Sounds like the lines are backwards on the IACV and you need a good seal on the manifold.

yes used new gaskets. the issue has to be in my vaccum lines, or wiring, or coolant lines, im just not sure which needs to go where.

Where does this smaller line need to go? dont mind that its not screwed all the way in, doesnt leak. didnt have the right size to thread it farther

check the colors, i just copied my b16 hatches wiring.

THIS is the spare plug, no idea where it goes.

Also there is a line that comes from the bottom of the TB, i have it connected to the upper radiator hose, (theres a small line running from the upper rad hose fairly sure this is right) i tired to get pictures but it doesnt look like much.
