Default J-swap eg hatch

I am looking for anything jswap related, motors seem readily available in all of their different variations. I understand transmissions can be a little harder to find, I was not able to come up with much for automatic mounts. Also need to do some research on the immobilizer, drive by wire, and any other fun electrical surprises involved. Not too worried about the hood clearance issue.

An added plus is the previous owner hacked up the pass. side motor mount so I'm fine with starting fresh there.

Any input is a plus, even links to threads i might have overlooked.

Thanks for reading.

just grab the entire accord its coming from and you'll have most everything you need including wiring. just use an older 3.0 vtec throttle body so you can keep the cable.

Look at the hasport mounts that are adjustable, you can run the engine low and get hood clearance, or high and get ground clearance....

Anything adjustable seems to have issues with keeping in place...not sure how Hasport would do this though to keep them adjusted correctly.

Honda tuner did an article not too long ago about the mounts. Ill see If I can dig up the issue to see if they gave any sights for more information. The mounts are used on a lot of the top drag cars with J-swaps, so I dont think they have a problem staying in place, maybe on boosted applications. All the cars features were running N/A with NOS at most.

x2
Honda tuning had a very nice article on different motors/ trans plus a very well detailed guide on the swap itself. Try finding a copy of the magazine from a buddy or buy it offline. Def worth it IMO.

I was looking for odyssey power trains, but the accord is a better choice? I am wondering if an automatic is out of the question or not.

when the mounts were on the lower setting it looked like ground clearance was non-existent, also have some fab work experience but i realize hasport has it down to a science

i just ordered a subscription to honda tunning after i read the article about jswap online first mag arrived today xD

Yeah the lowest setting has no ground clearance and that is why they are running slicks. Personally I would get ground clearance and make a hood scoop thing. **** its a V6 not a 4 cylinder anymore so ppl cant dog on the scoop. lol.

I dont see why ppl cant get enough power out of the K though....and be happy lol.

my idea was to build a cowl induction hood off the existing hood keeping the same line.

J32a.com, K20a.org, b20vtec.com. All these websites have good info. The automatic mounts have to be custom fab'd. car-part.com is your friend when doing this swap.
Not trying to thread jack here is a pic of the J32a2 swap I am doing. I have hasport EGJ2in the high position for referance. A small cowl is doable.
