Icon3 tps sensor

hello i got a 93 accord 2.2 ex i thought my tps sensor was bad because when it was pluged in it would run really bad after up got up to speed so i unpluged it and it ran fine so i replaced it now with the new onw one the car still has the same problem run bd when pluged in unplug it it runs good does anyone know what is going here and how to fix it thanks

Confirm the reference voltage is around 5 volts, the signal voltage is around .45 volts with throttle closed and around 4.5 volts wide open, confirm no voltage drop on ground circuit.

You need to use a voltmeter. You just keep switching your leads on each wire til you find that there's .45v while the throttle body is closed. Then with it open, it should read 5v.

well it reads 5 volts all the time i dont get a .5 and the tps is new so whats going on here i have moved it and still get the same reading

Can we back up just a bit. First, how did you test the old tps to be sure it was bad-besides just unplugging it. Are we chasing the wrong issue? What if any codes do you have?

Also, I think there are three wires on the TPS. What are you getting on the other two.

i checked it like the honda mannel told me i get 5.4 volts all the time in the plug well the sensor you can move it and nothing on the volts will change so why do i have 5.4 when there should only be .5 volts

ok now i have checked my tps plug i got gound on the green and .5 on ther yellow now when i turn on the switch i lose my ground whats going on here it on my 93 accord 2.2 anyone know whats going on here do i have a bad switch or a bad ground
