Haha, with all that torque you'll be snapping necks in no time!

...Not.

From my perspective, apparently you're not ready.

Either way wear a seatbelt and don't drink and drive.

you'll be fine, more torque makes it easier not to stall though. you just gotta get used to it

thx wiki;
1999 Civic Si featured a 1.6-litre B16A2 engine that made 160 hp (120 kW) at 7,600 RPM and 111 ft-lbs of torque at 7,000 RPM.

"too much power" my question is what did you drive before? we need to get to know you a little better before we start giving constructive criticism/opinions. Happy to hear your not gonna be one of the majority that operates an autotragic gearbox and can't drive a stick. I think everyone should know how to drive a manual.

The b16 in all shapes and sizes is pretty gutless. You've got nothing to worry about.

1999 Honda Civic Si 7.5sec - 0-60 15.7sec - 1/4 Mile

2000 Honda Civic EX Coupe 8.4sec - 0-60 16.7sec - 1/4 Mile

People die in cars that are much slower in a Civic Si. The question shouldn't be if the car has too much power. The question should be how safe are you going to drive.

To me, a 300AWP car isn't enough power for me lol. And yes, I've driven one. It's a thrill but I want more.

My EM1 was my first manual car and the only thing I had to get used to was the gas pedal. Was much more sensitive than my last car. You should be fine though.

drive one of your friends cars to see if you like first, before just buying one. why don't you get a GSR?

Si's are pretty easy to drive. No torque down low, makes for a boring ride but it shouldn't be too much for noobies.

When I started off driving I drove my friends 2000 SI around a lot, got used to it then got my 240SX and the TORQUE will kill ya :D

I just bought a 2000 si. Never drove a stick before picked it up pretty fast. just be light on the gas but like said it makes it harder to stall.

I might not be the best car to learn on since the gears are so short, you'll be shifting a lot and it might be a bit harder.

Or maybe you'll just learn faster. Either way.

Apparently you have never been in high horsepower vehicle, I am not sure if you are being serious about this question though.
