Default Low Oil Pressure

So ya I have had low oil pressure now for about a week. Usually I would have high pressure when I turned it on and eventually it would go down to about 1PSI per 100 RPM. Which is fine. But now I turn it on and its at about 50PSI @ 1000 and once it warms up it settles to LOW AS HELL. With it being @ 20PSI @ 3000-3300RPM. The thing is that when it is low like that, it can go to 5PSI @ 1500RPM (my usual idle, yes its high, I have it like that for a reason). But then if I step on it, it will be @ 65PSI @ 7K RPM, which is pretty normal. I have no idea what is causing this ****, and I need to fix it before I blow it.
And yes it has plenty of oil, actually right now it has about 1/4th of a quart MORE than full, and it didnt help the pressure at all.

Maybe oil pressure switch or oil pump. Diagnose it

That happened to me ONCE last year. Oil pressure never seemed to get up to where it was supposed to be. I panicked and added more oil and slightly overfilled it. After I drained it I have not had an issue since. I suspect it was the gauge acting up now that I think about it (don't buy cheap Sunpro gauges folks). I usually get about 50PSI @ 3krpm and about 25PSI @ 2.5rpm at idle with a ported oil pump though.

Well my guess would either be the gauge or the pump failing. Do you have a spare gauge to double check?
