timing was at 10 degrees, but when i put it back to 16 degrees the car now puts out more black smoke... most likely running more rich.

Is the motor stock? If not what is done to it?

Usually all ecu chips and maps not specifically done for your modifications are over richened stock maps. If your motor is stock, get a stock ecu.

All you need to do is buy a new chip on eBay. Don't worry, you should be able to blow that motor in no time dude.

Yea if its stock, use a stock ecu. There is no advantage to using a modified fuel table on a stock motor, unless it was tuned by someone in person on a dyno. You could probably pick up 5-8 hp by having it dyno tuned.

In your case, use a stock ecu until you can get a real tuneable ecu and buy some dyno time. Best of luck to you.
