so i just finished the swap on my hatch. the car was originally converted to MPFI OBD1 so the bseries swap would be easy. took out the old running d series and dropped in a rebuilt bseries, got the ecu from an OBD1 5 speed car. car last night started fine had a surging idel but it started. went to start it this morning and it started and abruptly shut off, and now i cant get it to start again. it cranks and cranks but no start, and i can smell fuel. the engine is OBD1 except the intake its an OBD2 intake. the only sensor that i dont have plugged in is the sensor on top of the manifold, i think its the purge valve but im not 100% sure. any ideas? i really need this to run soon cause iots my DD

 

is your fuel pump turnin on, chech for power n check all your grounds

 

was the distributer new or used. kinda sounds like you are not getting any spark

 

the fuel pump i cant really hear it at all i can smell fuel each time i crank it over but im not too sure its running to be honest. the dizzy was used but it looked to be in good shape internally when i took it apart but i better re check it tomorrow when i get a chance

and by manifold you mean intake mani? on top you mean tip top as in on the throttlebody thats bolted to the intake mani where the map sensor goes? if so thats something u should have wired on.

 

well i still cant hear the fuel pump and when i turn over the engine with the fuel line off it doesnt spit out gas so it has to be that. and no i dont mean the on the throttle body i mean this 2 wire black sensor with a vac hose coming out of it.

 

so its fixed 1 bad fuse and a crossed wire that will do it lol so it runs nice now but no exhaust so off to get a pipe. thanks for the help
