HELP!!!!! swap done car wont start
the car is a 92 civic hatchback with a h2b h22a engine b16 tranny...i checked the majority of the wiring and the car turns over it has spark in the coils..but the car wont start....the harness is obd1, sooooo so i put starter fluid in the car and it started right up then it shut off so i know its not a timing issue... i also have obd2 injectors on it from a type r and and im running a p72 ecu from gsr..i even added a resistor box then took it back off and still nothing any help would be great i want to start enjoying my swap
thanks

What OBD level ECU?
Some GSR ECUs have fuel pump pins in a different location, and you have to repin for the fuel pump to work.

Doublecheck with the following schematic to make sure you're not missing anything:
http://www.ff-squad.com/technet/wiring.obd1.htm
I looked, but nothing jumped out at me that would immediately cause it to not start. There are a few sensors on the H22 that the P72 doesn't look for, but I don't really see anything that the P72 is looking for that doesn't exist on the H22.
Is the fuel pump priming? Any CELs? I'm assuming it's not a clutch safety switch thing, since you said it started on starting fluid. It really sounds like it's not getting fuel for some reason. If it was an OBD2 P72, I'd say for sure that you had the fuel pump relay pinouts crossed.

Re: HELP!!!!! swap done car wont start
Since you have fuel pressure and spark, you need to figure out why you don't have injection pulse (assuming that you don't).

....and with that, I'm out of my element. I've never messed with swapping injectors between models. Good luck!

Re: HELP!!!!! swap done car wont start
could be a grounding issue. I would double check this and all the major grounds too just in case. Tranny to chasis, thermostat housing, and head to chasis grounds.
Also what fuel rail are you using? an aftermarket brand? Because the jdm h22's fuel rails would require custom fuel lines. Do you also have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator? I remember when I first started my h2b in my civic, it would turn over but it wouldn't start. So I adjusted my adjustable fuel pressure regulator to give it enough fuel and it started.
And last, change the ecu. Your using type R fuel injectors? The obd1 jdm h22a injectors are 345cc injectors which require a resistor box. However, if you find 97+ obd2 h22 injectors, you dont need the resistor box. In a worst case scenario what if you fried your ecu? NO resistor box for obd1 h22 injectors = fried ecu!
