Icon2 Gsr Ecu or b16? Help!

My friends doing a modest build, nothing crazy, but he has a b20 block and b16 gen 1 head, thus doing a b20vtec. Dillema is I have gsr cams laying around I want to give him to replace the weak gen 1 b16 cams, by doing this is it ok to run on a p72 GSR ecu? He shouldn't have to get a b16 ecu right?

Just get a chipped ECU and have it tuned properly. Neither stock ECU will be correct for that setup.

If you must use one of these go with the GSR. I'm not sure but it would probably give the 2.0 liter a little more fuel than the one for the B16. For the best performance your going to have to get some kind of engine management. Chip the ecu, you can never go wrong with Hondata.

I ran a b20v with gsr head before on a stock p72 and it ran like a beauty, but as far as Hondata I've only dealt with s300 and dyno tunning, do they have a plug and play option that would help me here? I'm not so familiar with the s100 or reflash but I'm thinking that might help? My friend wants to avoid dyno tunning costs.

Neptune is by far cheaper then a Hondata s300 and has all the features/maybe more then s300. I'm using it and I love it. Crome is outdated.

HRTuning^^^ is the creator of Neptune.

chipped p28 imo is the best for a b20 vtec setup....if it must be between those 2 you always want to match ecu with the head you're running...as for crome being outdated i'm running a crome pro tuned p28 on my b20 vtec setup and have no complaints

Dev302d, running a GSR B20Vtec on a stock P72... that's luck o' the Irish, that's an extremely lean rom to cover another 5% displacement.
You need a custom rom.
Neptune is still my favorite Honda app by far, but I've also tuned 500hp+ on CromeAu roms flawlessly, it really comes down to budget and patience (Cui, I have a friggen bone to pick with you buddy).
