engine hoist / cherrypicker and low garage ceiling
The ceiling in my garage (more of an underground carport) is only 6'9".
I need to pull and replace the B-series engine in a 2000 Civic.
Anybody think that low ceiling will present any problems?
I could also pull the head off and then the block, and the new engine I'm building is separate anyway so I could drop the new block in and then bolt the head on in the car (assuming that would all require less height clearance).
Any other suggestions for replacing an engine without much height to work in? thanks!

Lower engine onto floor then use the hoist to raise the car and slide the engine out from under it.
Or once everything is disconnected you could lower the car onto the ground resting it on the subframe and hoist the engine out that way.
Both ways worked for me.
