Icon2 3500 rpm what?

So my car is ready to drive again was stolen and I started her up today and was running fine till check engine light came on now car will start and drive but won't go past 3500 rpm does anyone know what could be the problem? I checked the spark plugs wires they are fine dizzy is good anyone know what it could be any suggestions or ideas would help thanks.

multi point conversion? Check your wiring. Usually c1 and c2 orange and white

its dpfi and i need to check the codes. what would i need to do if it is in limp mode? what would be the code if it is in limp mode?

This discussion doesn't need to go any further until you check the codes. Without that information, anything posted is just random speculation.

alright I'll check and see what codes its throwing tomorrow im celebrating my bday with my fam tonight so I'll check it tomorrow and let you guys know, but if it is in limp mode does that mean I need to replace my ecu?

Jesus christ that's like asking us if you have a red or blue pen why not try writing with the ****ing thing... lolz. Check the codes we can't tell you anything without them. But at this point im assuming you're low on muffler oil... try topping that off and let us know if you still can't go past 3500 rpms...

I still have yet to do mine but I did save a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to geico!

Alright guys I get it no need to be smart asses about it but anyways I checked it out its giving me 4 short blinks and a long pause and then 4 short blinks again im pretty sure thats a code 4 which is the CKP sensor is bad.

what part of it is new? also check if the wire is making contact with the female side. sometimes after unplugging the wires a few time u could accidently pull it loose

so the other dizzy was bad does anyone in the I.E. have a dizzy for a dpfi engine i need it to be in the I.E. because right now im using my girls car and its a V8 so I really don't want to drive out of the I.E area so if anyone has one please pm me thanks everyone
