Default Losing coolant but no leaks

My 93 hatch is leaking coolant somewhere and I cannot find any leaks. I had my head gasket replaced, new radiator and new water pump still cant find any leaks. I put about a half gallon in it every two days. And once I shut the car off I play hell trying to start it back up. God someone help me befor I blow it up.....again.

Cracked block? Do a compression and leakdown test.

Yes I did both, the compression was good but one hose has a hole in it but it was replaced but the presure held strong for 30 min.

Leave a large piece of paper under it overnight and see if you can find any drips...any wierd smells coming from exhaust?

Possibly the intake manifold gasket.

Either end of the water pipe on the backside of the block under the
in. manifold that runs from the thermostat housing to the water pump
is a common source of leaks that is easily overlooked.

But a half gallon every few days is a lot.

So, you did a coolant system pressure test? Kind of confused by this ^
statement.

I thought about that too, but a half gallon every 2 days is a lot to not notice
for a leak like that, likewise for the water pipe.
I suppose a leaking in. manifold gasket could allow coolant to get sucked
into the engine but I could be wrong.

Yes a coolant system pressure test. And No funny smells from the exhaust. I just dont understand why it will crank and run like a champ first thing in the morning, but after I stop and get gas and turn off the car I cant seem to get it started.

Do a cylinder leak down test.

@Dontoh... Yeah that's what I was thinking....that's alot of coolant to be leaving without having dramatic puddles unless it's getting burned off somewhere.

Engine is eating it go get a pressure tester from auto-zone and pressure test it if it leaks then there you go. If it does not then your engine is eating it ! Good luck !

Take it off and make sure there are no cracks or the seal for the water passage isnt broken or frayed.
