Default 91 Prelude Won't start

Ran the car whole summer. And I mean hard. Only time she died on me was in a car wash.

Anyways, was parked for week. Today was extremely warm day. I mean almost 10 degeress above freezing. Usually our winter is -10 below freezing here in Ontario.

Anyways, car cranks, lots of juice in Batt. First I thought it was fuel pump. But after many many tries, I can smell the fuel. So can't be that right ?

My two guesses are its either the timing belt. But then I drove the car home ? It broke while parked ?

Second, I have been reading about main relay ? Under the coin tray ?

Help guys, how can I make sure its relay ?

Thanks.

it could be a bad main relay, what happend's is the solder gets so hot it gets a break down the middle, anywho, thats what happend to my hatch with a b18 swap the relay went out fixed it and started right up, look at it, and u will be able to tell, another thing is the coil, could have went out, coil for the dizzy i mean, take it out and have it tested or buy another one.

If he can smell fuel in the cylinders then it's not the main relay.

Check for spark. If you've got spark and fuel, next is timing. Belt may have jumped when you went to start it. Happens

Update :

Woke up, got to car........still same cranking didn't wanna start.

Took coin tray out, four screws for panel. The main relay was hanging in with a wire (not attached to anything.) Well disconnected it from wire.

Looked at it. Absolutely none of the solders were broken. I cleaned it, put it back......Still same....No start.

Crap....Called Mechanic. He says tow her. Called CAA (Canadian AAA) Paid $100 to get membership. I then decided to go sit in my car and make the call for tow on my cell.

Well I go to car, I said what the heck. I'll try to put main relay back (which I had carried inside to my house) One final try.........

Well guess what ? Damn thing STARTED.

Absolutely confused what the heck was wrong with her, but she's running like a champ.

What do I do now ?? Wait for her to die ? Change the relay ? What ?

Quite possible there is some other issue too, but re: the main relay
i would definately recommend replacing it with a new unit. They
all seem to start failing at around this age, and a new one is not
much money and saves you getting stranded in the future.
