1992-1995 Auto Transmission Fluid
I am just veryfiying because I cant find a specific answer online, and I cant find my car's manual. I purchased ATF-Z1 for Honda. I am just making sure that is the right one before I load up my Transmission with the wrong fluid. Thank You Guys for the help.
It is Castrol ATF-Z1 that wont work? lol I am in 29 palms and nearest dealer is like 1 hour and half away lol I am changing my axle and need to drain fluid. So I really cant drive to Honda dealership. So I guess not to use that?
I had the axles changed on my ride like last week, i went to pep boys because i know someone who works there and hooks me up with parts. when i got the axles i grabed 3 qrts of the castrol stuff (same thing u got) when i was stoped by an older employee who worked there, he said he worked for honda 20 plus years and said not to get the oil and better head on to honda because and to quote "honda oil has special aditives that the castrol oil does not have, you will be amazed with the difference" well then i took my happy little *** on over to honda purchased 4 qrts of oil that cost $35 all together. Later that day i had my axles swaped and to my surprise my mechanic told me it didnt leak one bit of oil so he did not change the oil. I went home and changed the oil myself.
ok I guess I can try to change the axles w/o draining the transmission. If it does not leak then i'll drive to Honda and purchase it. "I hope it does not leak lol"
just jack it up on the one side high so the fluid runs tot he other side of the transmission. i dont remember any fluid dripping out when pulling axles when i had an auto.

I would use the Z1 from honda, dex 3 will work but isnt necessarily recommended for the A/T. Go to honda and get the right fluids, its worth it. Just my .02
