Hey guys I have an 03 and have been looking around for some new wheels for awhile now but am having trouble finding ones that have the stock offset. Kinda new at this stuff still and was hoping for some help. I was looking at the SSR Type-C and was wondering if you guys could tell me what size and offset would be best for me. Thanks

This is pretty impossible to answer man. You should look through the picture threads and find the "look" you want. Ask more specific questions about what you need to do to achieve that look.
Or figure out what purpose you have for the car. Diameter of wheels, lowering mods, useage of the car, fender mods that you'd be willing to do, etc. are all details that anybody would need to know to help you.
Generally, the aftermarket widths used on S2000s without lots of fender mods are 17X7.5-17X8 up front and 17X9 to 17X10 out back. Fitments have a lot to do with offsets and tire widths, and how much you want to lower the car.

I want to lower my car an inch in the front and rear with tein flex coilovers. I am building it to run time attack's at the local track. I would like to use 17x7.5 in the front and 17x9 in the rear. I just dont know what offsets are going to be able to work or not. As far as fender mods i would rather not do any if possible.
if you lower your car, i highly advise rolling your fenders (especially if you're going to be doing hard cornering).
anyways, the mildest setup you're going to get with those widths are 17x7.5+49 and 17x9+41 ... while the front will probably be fine, but the rear will probably rub. though, i see a 17x9.5+65 --- that's a more conservative fit, but it might still rub. let me crunch numbers when i get in the office tomorrow

I was just wondering if the 17x7.5+49 front and 17x9+41 rear will work with a fender roll or not. If not I guess I will just have to find some new ones lol. Thanks man

Front may work with chamber depending on how the tire sits. The rears will not work without a roll and some chamber, esp since you are problably going to run a 255 or greater tire in the rear since the 9in rear is wider than stock.

for the 17x9+41 rear, you'll at the least need to relocate your bumper tabs... i'm sure that part will rub under load. it actually looks like the 17x9.5+65 would fit better since you'd be more conservative by 18mm.
To help you out I ran 18x8.5 +51 with a 225/40 tire upfront on factory camber and i was tucking , needed a slight fender roll and fender liner trimmed a tiny bit. My rear was 18x9.5 +49 with a 255/35 tire on -2.5 camber my rear was also tucking needed a fender roll and relocated the bumper. My front coils were 2-3 clicks from stiffest setting and my rear was 4 clicks from softest. I drive pretty hard when I do. The ride felt great and never ever ever rubbed.
The rear was as flush as I would suggest unless you wanna run more camber but the front coulda fit a +45 to a + 50 i was just being safe.

17x7.5+48, 17x8.5+59 .. that's a very mild/conservative setup (at least, in my opinion). if it were me, i'd probably go with the type-c's... but then again, i'm biased towards ssr's
edit - i take that back. while that's mild to me, it'll probably still rub in the rear unless you relocate the bumper tab.
don't fear rolling the fenders... it's better than flipping your tab. trust me. i've been there

Ok well how do I relocate the bumper tab??? Never heard of doing that before lol and i'm not afraid to roll the fenders just dont have anyplace where i live that i would trust doing it.

anyways, this is for the rear bumper - http://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php...#entry14909750
basically, where the rear bumper meets the quarter panel, there's that "shelf" like piece which has a screw holding them together. i dremel'd the "shelf" piece as far back as i could go while leaving room for me to drill a hole into both pieces - then i ziptied it. i'll try and get pics sometime when i can jack my car up again.
as far as rolling the front - make sure they've done s2000's before. there's 2 tabs on each side that needs to be cut/dremel'd before you can roll (if you don't cut it, the roll will be lumpy).

Yeah i'm on the other side of the country man lol. That link showed me how to do it pretty good. i think i got it. and yeah i've only seen like two other s2k's in my area so odds are no shop has ever done a fender roll on one. thanks for the help man
17x8+45 and 17x9+35 RPF1's with conti extreme DW tires 215 and 245 will fit on a 1 inch drop within standard camber specs
The reason I mention the RP's btw is that SSR's are garbage the SSF process lead them to reduce the amount of material and still pass basic crush tests and as a result the lips are fragile and for time attack your going to have to run ***** out over the curbing ect.
BTW tin is garbage
read through this and the related articles before you spend a dime
