Is there any difference between LCA brands besides the color and price?

huge, most the companies use cheap bushings that rot in no time. function 7 uses real energy suspension bushings that can be replaced if need be and easily serviced

Lets make it simple. 99% of aftermarket arms suck. Function7 is the only company that puts a lifetime warranty on their lca's.

The problem with others is not necessarily the arms, but rather the bushings they use. The typical blox bushing last about 6 months before tearing.

Unless you are going for the bling factor, just replace the bushings in your stock lca's. If you like poly bushings, energy or prothane. If you want a more oem style hard bushing look into hard race. They use a more traditional hard rubber.

that's the cheap way to do it. energy bushings in your oem arms.

when you see blox arms for $120 and function 7 for $200 the 7s are actually cheaper since you never have to worry about them again. blox arms you will be replacing

People say they are all junk except OEM and Function 7. I bought a new pair of Blox LCAs over 3 years ago for my DC2 for $100, they have had over 40,000 miles on them, including at least 20 autocross events, and they are still going strong and the bushings are holding up. So, I would recommend the Blox from my personal expierience. Many others might not. I would have stayed OEM but the bolts were frozen in the bushings and I didnt feel like dealing with it at the time.

You want to check these out.

I just installed a set and they are very nice. I mine for 120 shipped.
Very similar to Function7's and the bushing are much better also.

Here is the main site.

I had Blox LCA's on my DD for 8 months and the bushings started to show wear way too soon (IMHO)

I also previously used Omni Power lower control arms which the bushings wore out after 2 years..

I'm currently running Buddy Club LCA's on my street/track car for around a year and they show no signs of wear.. Plus I love the titanium finish.

Thanks all for the props on our products - we love to see happy customers.

We offer a lifetime warranty on our arms which also covers the bushings, however we've had them on cars for over 8-9 years with zero issues. Our company has been doing this for close to 10 years, and we believe in doing it the right way from day one. Every Function7 product originated on our track cars and is extensively tested (sometimes for over 3 years before they are sold to the public) to ensure quality, durability and live up to the performance claims.

As such, our control arms/braces may cost slightly more but you can be assured that you will be getting the best, and that we will stand by our products if you ever have any issues with them.

Recently, other manufacturers have started to "emulate" our original innovative designs on a widespread basis. We urge you to compare our products closely with our competition. Even though the arms/bushings (and braces) may look similar, it's the little details in design, materials, and engineering that you don't see/can't see that make our products superior to our competition.

As always, please feel free to PM me if you have any questions about our products.

nothing like F7 except for ripping off their design. I'd like to know why you think those bushings are superior to the custom-designed bushings made by Energy Suspension specifically for Function7.

And personally, I would never recommend standard ES bushings for any control arm application. I would recommend hard rubber over polyurethane any day of the week. However the custom-designed ES bushings used in F7 control arms seem to be quite nice.

Let me rephrase this and say the bushings for these newer version BWR LCA's are a much better design than the older version BWR LCA's that everyone is have issues with.

F7's are by far the more superior product.

Thanks!

Being a manufacturer, we believe that it's our responsibility to tread a very fine line on discussion forums.

We are on these forums primarily for customer service/support and also to answer questions about our products, and do not want to come across as spamming discussion boards for the sole purpose of selling stuff.

Besides, we're so busy these days we rather have our customers purchase our products through our authorized dealers so we can concentrate on making more stuff.

Man everyone jocks F7 so hard. They're good, but there ARE other LCAs out there that are good as well. The Buddy Club arms come to mind, as well as the old SRR arms. The new Skunk black LCAs are ES bushings as well. I'm sure there are others. I just love it when people say the F7 arms are the ONLY arms that don't degrade.
