Default Front Tire Rubs..Dirver side only??

SO I installed a set of Ksport coilovers yesterday on my 93 Del Sol. Its a pretty aggressive drop but I am only getting some serious rubbing issued from the drivers front. I noticed that there is a gash about 2mm deep down the center of the tire and a little bit on the lip of the tire too.The thing is, it is about .75cm higher than the passengers side.

Any ideas why its worse on the drivers side? or what I can do to resolve this? besides raising it more? i.e. roll the fender or remove fender lining?

Chances are your car was hit there at one point in time and then bondoed over, you'd be able to tell if that was the case. You can roll the fender, and remove the lining, that will help.

I remember there being a groove that the spring fit into. I wasn't thinking the spring settled, I was thinking maybe it was off center. Then again if it was off center it would probably make some nice noises over bumps... But yeah my initial thought was the car was in an accident of some sort

I'm gonna say prior accident. Have an alignment place put it on a rack and take some measurements.

i had the same experience with my old coupe, it had been in a rear accident and my right coilover had to be set three threads lower then my left coilover for it to sit level.

Bingo!

I compromised and raised it about half an inch do clear the damaged wheel well. Thanks for the input.

Cool...I would really have it checked out. I thought I bent my subframe because my wheel was sitting back in the well a bit and would scrape the inner well over bigger bumps...put it up on the lift and my front lower control arm was **********ed up. It can be really unsafe, and will cause all kinds of bad tire wear. Best of luck with a total fix on it glad you got it working for now.
