Default aftermarket fuel gauge

I've got a 95 civic vx hatch that the stock fuel gauge doesnt work in due to the needle being broken, I bought an aftermarket autometer fuel gauge and was wondering where I would need to hook up the sender wire, on the sending unit in the tank or in the gauge cluster??

Is it an air/fuel gauge, fuel pressure gauge or a fuel level gauge?

Okay. Check the link I gave you. 291 related threads on HT alone.

You might want to pay particular attention to this one. It's also not as simple as splicing into a wire. There are resistance values to take into account.

It will probably be easier to replace the entire cluster unit, instead of adding an aftermarket unit.
