Default If you had to choose between these transmissions???

It would be going into a 95 del sol S running a second gen b16a...Choices are...

1) rebuilt 0 mile usdm non-lsd b16a3 tranny

2) rebuilt 0 mile gsr non LSD hydro tranny

3) 10k mile rebuilt 97 spec JDM ITR LSD tranny w/4.7FD

I know what the obvious choice is...

What I would like to know is which is best for NA Which is best for FI...

Would just kinda like to know the way each act in each application I guess...

Thanks guys...

The GSR and ITR tranny are both great for FI freeway/highway pulls. Anything with LSD should be gotten first

Well if you're going the whole NA path the B16 trans would be you're best route. Throw that LSD in and swap out 5th for a longer gear so you're not cruising at 70 turning 5500rpms lol

LSD > all

I wouldn't care if it were 25,000 or 50,000 miles or 75,000.

You can bet your *** honda did a better job assembling that ITR transmission than some mechanic did with either of those rebuilt transmission.

Did not even thank about that. So since the type-r heads recieved a port and polish by hand....did the trannys (<didnt want to spell like the she-he version) get assembled by hand too and recieve special care like the heads?

Did not even consider this..

All 3 were rebuilt, just the ITR tranny's had 10k on it since rebuild. If a transmission is rebuilt properly, by a competent mechanic it should work every bit as well as a new tranny assembled by honda. Also, building honda manual trannys isn't exactly rocket science.

Ah. I didn't notice that all 3 had been rebuilt. TBH I'd still go with the LSD transmission however. Easy decision for me.

Thought I've heard of good results from OBX LSDs in the past too.

Not surprised. Any good reviews were probably from 100 miles of driving lol.
