Default wiring vtec

does anyone have a diagram of where on the engine haness i would add the 3 pins for vtec?

i have a 92 hatch so its already wired for vtec at the ecu, and i have a spare dx harness laying around that i can salvage plugs off of, so id rather add the wires to my existing dx harness than to buy an ex harness.

thanks

You might have to hard wire. de pin the two vtec pins at ecu...apply power via 9-volt battery and a ghetto ground somewhere and pull the harness apart at the other end and look for voltage with a multimeter. Mark spot and trace wires to where they go...This should be the same with both harnesses...but not looking at my book so not sure.

Back of the Haynes has detailed wiring diagrams for days

Here you go:

Black ground wire from the pressure switch can grounded where ever (In an EX/Si harness it gets grounded to thermostat housing

That picture hails from the FAQs, if I'm not mistaken. So it has been answered and stickied prior.

But I agree...!

...but people should also read the FAQs. So much good info in there...
