Cruise control not working
Ok, here we go, the cruise on my 99 Integra LS began acting up by requiring me to sometimes press the set button multiple times in order for it to set. It now no longer works period, and the on/off switch on the dash also no longer gets the green light when on. I replaced the steering wheel switch with a new one, no change. I also replaced the module with one from another working Integra, no change. I tested each of the wires going into/out of the module (using diagram in Haynes manual as a reference) and found all wires to be showing what they should and reacting to switches (brake, clutch, on/off, set/resume) except for the wires linked to the actuator. The brown/red, brown/white, and brown/black wires I got neither ground nor 12 volts regardless of circumstance. I checked the same wires at the actuator itself and found no change. It is getting it's ground with the black wire as well, no problem there. The requisite plastic plugs on the clutch and brake pedal are in place. I've read that is a usual problem, but not my problem. Fuses are all good as well. Needless to say, I think it is the actuator, but I don't know exactly how the actuator and it's wires are supposed to behave, so I'm not positive. Can anyone confirm or deny my theory? The only other strange thing I'm not sure about is when I tested the wires at the cruise on/off switch. All the wires showed what they should except the red wire. I think the red and red/black wire are only for the green light on the button. I see .2 volts on the red wire with the switch on and the motor running and ground on the red/black. All the other wires are behaving as I'd expect in that circumstance. Even if the light was burned out, that shouldn't affect the working of the cruise if the on/off switch is working properly, which is appears to be, right? Ughh!!! Help!!
