Default Help with some relays...

Hello-

Below are three relays. Coming off og them are the following wires.

Two 14ga green/wht wires.
Two 14ga Yellow/wht wires.
two 14ga White/brn spot wires.
One 14ga red wire.

one 22ga gray wire
one 22ga brown wire.

I want to use this as a method of theft deterrance. Is this set up for two seperate switches, controlling up to three devices? (meaning I would have to ground the two 22ga wires after they connected to the switch.

OR

Is this set up so the 22ga wires control one switch, being both of its terminals... and being able to control up to three devices?

Know what im saying? here are the pics of the relays.

one

two

three

thanks.

Well I don't really understand your question, but it looks as if they are wired in parallel so they all switch on at the same time. Why don't you look under the relay at what wires go to what numbers this would be more useful information. What are they connected to?

the relays dont have numbers on them. This came from an HKS starter switch, as of right now they are not hooked up to anything. My questions is.... if i wanna use this for a kill switch, or rather something capable of killing three devices.... do the two smaller wires lead to two switches, or one switch?

I just am kinda fuzzy about relays and was hoping some pics might clear up a question or two. I know I supply power via the red wire, but im a little unclear about the pairs of thick wires. Do those inturrept the signal to whatever I want them to?

Each relay can turn something on. From the looks of #3 the green wire goes to constant +12 volts. The Green with white goes to something that requires a +12 volts. The brown wire would then be used to switch on the relay by connecting it to ground. I would go to http://www.the12volt.com and rewire your relays to the way you wish them to operate.

The two smaller 22ga wires.... are they for two terminals on ONE switch? or for two switches, having the other terminals grounded?

I honestly would start over and rewire those they way you want them to work.

It APPEARS that the two smaller wires energize the coil that turns the relay on and off. One gets connected to +12 V and the other to ground. The two larger wires are connected to what is getting switched on and off.
